The new S-Works Torch road cycling shoes from Specialized are designed with the athlete in mind. Utilizing Body Geometry and data science, these cycling shoes provide an exact fit with optimized performance. The BOA® cable is angled to protect the ball of the foot and there is zonal reinforcement to keep feet in place. Based on more than 100,000 foot scans from the RETÜL fit data, the new carbon base plate is 4mm wider at the ball to offer a close-to-foot fit. The base plate has been constructed with an internal I-Beam which is 20g lighter and as stiff as the S-Works 7 shoe. An asymmetric heel counter supports natural knee alignment and a lower collar while reducing material on the lateral side. The independent alloy BOA® S3-Snap Fit system allows on-the-fly micro-adjustment. Additionally, titanium alloy cleat nuts can be rotated to position pedal/cleats 5mm rearward. Secure non-slip heel tread is replaceable with internally recessed screws.
